new spotlight importer

Hi,
I have recently managed to convince spotlight on my system to index chm files. I have a few such files in my DT database and, because I did not have the importer before, they’re indicated as no text. After the importer was installed and tested, what happens is that if I pull the file out (eg onto the desktop) and back in it gets indexed, but it does not seem to get indexed by itself.

Purely out of curiosity, would DT have detected the new plugin and indexed the files itself if I did nothing? Has anybody tried?

Once your files are imported in a database, you can select them and use the File > Synchronize menu to reindex them. That should work as far as I know.
