Hi, this is a feature in Acrobat 8 which came with my Scansnap, but I’m really not a fan of that very clunky application. In DTPO, is there a way to import PDF documents & OCR the first page only? It’s usually the first page that has the important words & this would reduce file sizes too.
Copy the first page to the clipboard, then create a 1-page PDF from it and OCR it.
Delete the existing first page of the PDF and replace it with the OCRd page.
Whoa, that’s a few steps. Is it possible to Applescript this? To do this on all incoming documents would be time consuming.
