OCR only within specific areas/zones of a pdf, dealing with letterhead

you really should take a look at the post above your last post, seeing as it contains the solution to your problem in one quick and easy package

Great work! That indeed appears to be a clever method to reach the result @mjnnyc was looking for.

@mjnnyc, you might have noticed already, but please be aware of the warning by @Blanc that imprinting a document is permanent can be difficult to undo although itā€™s apparently not impossible (see comment below). Duplicating them before trying the solution is indeed something to do before you test this. You could link to the original and vice versa using the UUID if required.

(Iā€™ll never forget to duplicate again as Iā€™ve imprinted several important files in the past to test out the then new imprinter and had to retrieve them from backup after I found out the imprint was permanent . And found out another reason why a proper backup is important).

It isnā€™t really  Acrobat can remove it  but it has to be done manually, so you could certainly cause yourself a lot of work.

Thatā€™s also good to know. And if thatā€™s the case, did you get a chance to test the OCR isnā€™t performed on te text ā€˜behindā€™ the imprint as was the original question?

jup, it works as it says on the package, so to speak
