Old Newbie with a couple of problems.

Hey

I have been using DT Pro for about 5 years with no problems. However, I only use it about an inch deep. In other words I do not use a lot of the benefits offered because my need is not that great. However, I have begun to have a couple of recurring problems. If you could give me a bit of help I would be grateful.

1 '“Hide Sorter when xxxxx goes in full screen”. How do I get that infernal thing to quit asking me that? It can remain on my screen all the time, everywhere no matter what I am doing.

  1. When I disconnect my MBP from the two external screens DT does not resolve correctly. It leaves me a blank white page, on my laptop screen. I have to click on window/ close to get back to a working screen.

  2. I am having fairly regular crashes. It just stops and I get the Apple warning about “Devonthink Pro has stopped working”. “Restart, Ignore or Report”. I suspect reinstalling the program may fix the last two problems but I am uncertain how to do that.

  3. Is there a way to receive email directly to DT? I would love to email myself messages, reminders and articles directly to myself from my iPhone?

  1. Go into Preferences > Sorter and check checkboxes as you see fit. It won’t necessarily cover everything but it may quiet it down some.
  2. Please start a Support Ticket and include a screencapture.
  3. Hold Option and select Help > Report Bug.
  4. No it’s not currently possible to email into a database. We are considering something along those lines but nothing firm yet.
