Is there a way to open a DT note in Editorial 1.3 so it can be edited directly? Editorial doesn’t seem to access the document picker.
I know there is a round trip solution, but I’m looking for direct editing.

The document picker is the only way to do it and it is on Editorial’s developer to support that functionality.
Without the document picker, it’s roundtripping or nothing.
It’s on the developer and he has basically given up on Editorial. The last real update was January 18th and that was after 1.5 years of no updates at all. Currently there is no active beta, so I would not get my hopes of any new features soon.
I really liked Editorial for the longest time but have since moved on to Textastic/Ulysses for all my document editing. For the stuff Editorial did better, which was really only Python, I use Pythonista (by the same developer) to run the same actions on text.
Thanks for the background and the advice. I’m heading back to Ulysses and 1Writer for direct editing of markdown outside of DT. Or maybe I’ll add a set of textexpander snippets to handle md formatting.
