I’ve chosen the option “copy to database folder” for handling PDF-files, which is very handy for me.
Unless I have missed something somewhere, it is not possible to choose a similar option for Word-Files. DT imports and converts Word-Files to RTF, which is fine for me. But I would be glad if DT would automatically archive the original file in the databade folder, like it archives PDf-files when the option “copy to database folder” is checked.
I suspect that I’m not the only user who would be glad to be able to retrieve the original Word-file for editing in Word (with functions not possible in RTF) and then re-importing it to DT. Of course I could link to the original file, but I’m excited about the possibility to keep all my files physcially in one directory, so data backups and migration is very easy.
