PDF Annotation - Select only some text

Here’s a wish…

Every PDF editor I’ve scene can’t seem to differentiate between two columns of text. So when highlighting a scan of text book, for instance, highlighting a line of main body text will also pick up any definitions in the margins. It would be nice to be able to select a “highlight” zone. Perhaps draw a box over the main body of text so that only text within the box is highlighted.

Yes, that makes sense, and drawing a box around just the text that you wish to select is the way to do it.

Hold down the Option key while you “draw a box” around the text to be selected. That does it!
