PDF annotations: internal links not shown intentionally?

When I add an annotation of “link” to a PDF programmatically where the “destination” of the link is inside the same document, the annotation is not shown in the inspector. “Preview” does show them in its “Information” dialog, PDFPen does kind of show them, too.

So, I’m wondering if it’s intentional that these annotations do not appear in the inspector. Oh, and they are there, i.e. I can click on them and that takes me to where it should.

Which inspector?

“Annotations & Reminders” as well as “Document/Annotation” and “Document/Links”. The latter shows only outgoing links, i.e. to web documents. The first and second show no annotations at all.

These internal links (basically just anchors) are intentionally ignored.

Thanks for the clarification.
