PDF / Grid View / Filmstrip Layout

Hi,

Is there a way to simulate “Filmstrip” Layout (example from Gslides below) in the PDF viewer of DT?

Best I could achieve so far was to configure Two Pages View:

I wish it would be possible to then to go into “Grid View” → See all pages of the PDF → Zoom in out on the whole Filmstrip Layout to be able to observe all pages on one screen. Is super helpful when orienting yourself in a longer deck / document.

Probably that setting would ideally live in the main menu:

Please tell me this feature exists and I just do not know how to configure it

Thank you!

You could use the Table of Content Inspector and use Thumbnails and enlarge that part. That would be the best option I know of.

No, that’s not a feature of DEVONthink and @manfred9 is correct.
Depending on the width of the window, you can expand the Thumbnails inspector to accommodate more thumbs…

Preview does have a Contact Sheet option but it’s similar to our Thumbnails inspector.

interesting “hack” - thank you @manfred9!

@BLUEFROG - i wonder if you could explore allowing to extend the thumbnails window further - for me I am getting max 3 pages on a row (as in your example). Seems like the maximum I can extend that thumbnail window is to the middle of the screen. It would be great if that thumbnail window could be pushed to the very left of the screen allowing to flexibly extend the layout and see e.g. 4 / 5 / etc pages per row.

It’s the first such request I can recall and development would have to assess the feasibility. At a minimum, perhaps a size slider could change the size of the thumbnails, but again that’s development’s to decide.

Thanks @BLUEFROG an idea of having a slider is super spot on.
