PDF Import Error: Failed


 I am getting a "Failed" error message when importing PDFs into DT, might anyone be able to share some insight into a possible fix (details below)?  I have spent about 8-10 hours troubleshooting, reading the forums, hopefully it is something simple I have just missed.

I scanned to PDF a lot of papers through my HP 8500 all-in-one device. I was then putting those PDF files (about 150) into DT. About 60% of those files go into DT without a problem. The others, consistently, do not (I have tried verifyng and fixing the db, rebuilding the db, trying to put the file in a few times (verifying and fixing in between). The PDF files that DT accepts it kept accepting, and the others it does not.

They all open fine in acrobat, are of varying sizes from smaller (<1MB) to larger (around 12MB). Since it is a lot of the overall scan volume, about 40%, I would be surprised if they were all corrupted in some way. Any ideas of if there is a setting or something else I should look at?

DT has been great for me historically and it would be great to have that ease of use again. Thanks

Hello, yes, they do open in Preview.

Ah! I figured it out. It was an issue with having enough available HD space. duh :slight_smile: That also explains why it would fail consistently around the same PDFs (if I was adding them in about the same order) when the HD got full.

Simple solution, wish I checked that out sooner. DTPO continues to work great.
