PDF Import from ScanSnap "Failed"

I just purchased a ScanSnap scanner to use with DTPro 2.0.6. I have set up a “profile” in the ScanSnap manager to save scanned files into:

/Volumes/Data/Users/dave/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink Pro 2/Inbox

(note that /Users is on a different partition than the Mac startup volume).

Everything seems to work fine; the files end up in my DTPro Global Inbox as expected. However every file also results in a DTPro Log error message, such as:

2:36:49 PM /Volumes/Data/Users/dave/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink Pro 2/Inbox/2010_12_07_14_36_41.pdf Failed

Since the PDF appears in my Inbox intact, (as PDF+Text, and is searchable), what’s “Failing”?

DEVONthink performs an automatic retry for incoming scans, probably the first attempt failed. Maybe due to a not yet accessible/complete PDF document.
