After upgrading from DEVONthink to go 3 to 4 I experience the problem that when I zoom in or out in a PDF it “jumps” after some seconds up and down sometimes on top of the page or sometimes even to other pages of the pdf.
It gets impossible to read or to make annotations.
I use DTTG 4 o an iPad Pro 11 2. Generation with the latest iPadOS update.
Is there a checkbox I need to use to stop this behavior?
no. I give talks and use a script on a DIN A4 page. Sometimes I have to zoom in to look up a note. The iPad lies on the table and I don’t touch it. I look up to the audience and down to the tablet and the PDF is on another page or it moved on top of the page.
This behavior doesn’t happen all the time. Only it happens suddenly and then until I restart DEVONthink. But restarting the app doesn’t help every time.
Some days ago it was so “jumpy” that I had to put the finger on the screen to “hold” the page still. This helped to keep the page on the desired spot but was really annoying.
Maybe this happens when DTTG4 syncs, then reloads the document due to (apparent) changes coming in? In this case it would be a bug, obviously. Would you mind and try to switch off automatic syncing to see if it still happens?
Hi @m.belluzzo, I am having this problem with DTTG 4 as well. It is happening on both of my iPads - iPad mini (A17 Pro) and iPad pro (4th generation), both updated to latest iOS. On all pdf documents, the zoom “jumps” like in your video, typically back to a full-page view. This happens every few seconds. Sometimes, more rarely, documents jump to a random page somewhere in the middle (this happens on vertical, continuous scrolling).
I never had problems with DTTG 3 so I am going to revert for now.
