PDF OCR output resolution "exact" option?

I recently OCR’d this PDF (that’s a Box link because the file is too large to attach here), and noticed that the resolution of the resulting PDF was noticeably lower than the original. I then found the preference option to set the output resolution, and set it to 300 DPI (apparently the best option available). Still, the quality of the output is noticeably lower than the quality of the original PDF, both in terms of resolution and having some added artifacts on the background of pages.

I’ve used Acrobat Pro in the past, and it has an option to OCR with the output as “searchable image (exact)”. To my understanding, this did zero processing to the image, only adding a text recognition layer. Is that something that’s available using the OCR system within DEVONthink?

Thanks,
David Goldman
