PDF page renumbering

I frequently renumber PDF pages in Acrobat in order to page the page printed on the pdf.

DevonThink seems to respect this. In the following image you can see that it thinks this is page “72/13” which is what I want. If this PDF has highlights and I summarize the highlights, it also reflects this page number.

However, it seems like this page numbering gets reset back to 1-13 somehow. I’m not sure if it’s just a time thing, a result of highlighting, a result of saving, or a result of summarizing highlights. Somewhere in that sequence the page numbering got reset.

As I have mentioned frequently, Acrobat does things other apps can’t.
I’d suggest starting a support ticket, attaching a renumbered PDF.

Ok. This thread from 2011 on the topic made me think it was just a recent bug rather than something DT3 can’t do.

It’s more likely a bug of the PDFkit framework of macOS which doesn’t even support changing the page label for apps. Which version of macOS do you use?

10.14.6

The renumbered pages appear correctly in Preview (for this document at least).
