Well, here with DEVONthink 3.9.6 and macOS Ventura 13.6.5
: saving the file into ~/downloads and looking at it with Preview … can search inside it and copy
: importing into DEVONthink without any OCR applied, it sees it as “PDF+Text” and works as expected
Anything other in particular you don’t see working that I can try for you?
A have dozens of files like this in my database. For some reason, they’re not being recognized as PDF+Text. I take it that there’s no way I can force DT to reindex these items in a way that would allow the item type to update and register properly, short of creating new duplicate items?
You could try to rebuild the database (see File menu) but first please check whether exporting and importing these files (e.g. into a new database) really fixes the issue.
