There are a few tasks I do very regularly in DT3 to which I have assigned a hotkey or other means of automation using Keyboard Maestro or for which I run an Applescript.
I came across Platypus recently which works really well to run any type of script (Applescript, Terminal, Javascript, others) as a menu bar item. It is quite easy to learn/use.
Among the uses I set up initially are (1) A Menu Bar icon to toggle open/closed my most-used DT3 group and (2) A Menu Bar icon to toggle open/closed the Apple Notes app (which has no native menu bar support).
Highly recommended for anyone working with Mac automation. It is free/open source with donations requested.
