Preserving internal links on HTML-to-PDF conversion?

Hi all-

I wonder if anyone had information or suggestions on this topic? I often make unpaginated PDFs from HTML to store in DTPO. These are often acquired by “wget -rkp,” which will download linked files and reconcile them for use on a local disk.

Right now, I have a file that has links shuttling the reader back and forth between footnotes. Works fine as local HTML, works fine as a PDF converted by Acrobat, but the DTPO conversion to PDF links to the local HTML, instead of the locations inside the document.

I guess this make sense for archiving web sites, where the links preserve the connection to the Internet, but it’s not what I’m looking for in this case.

How can I get the internal links of my converted PDFs to work “internally”?

Thanks, Charles
