Print to Devonthink is gone... how do I get it back?

Hi, the mac completely refused to boot at all if the shift key was held down using startup
I hope that helps. Unfortunately I don’t know what tool the support engineer used to diagnose the “failing” SSD but the mac sure runs better now its been replaced.
Previously I’d thought SSD’s were rather like a lightbulb, either working or not, with no warning.
I’ve heard from clients of sudden failures, IMO this means that it’s a serious must to have, at very minimum, a couple of Time Machine backups, one off site ideally (in rotation).
I’m now also using carbon copy cloner as it apparently “leverages” Apple’s “Snaphots” - but only if backup is to an APFS SSD. The Samsung T5 and 7 ones are reasonably inexpensive.
I’m told that this CCC backup [with which you can go back in time] offers some protection against malware / ransomware.
I hope so.

Thanks for the info. I will keep an eye on my ssd
