Problem synchronizing DEVONthink To Go via Webdav with a space in the URL

Hi,

when synchronizing DEVONthink To Go via Webdav with a space in the URL, I get the following error message: Conflict (409) - due to a %2520 in the URL.

There is a space in the URL; is necessary for this Webdav server.

If %20 is used in the URL, DEVONthink To Go converts it into %2520. %25 is the code of a %, so DEVONthink To Go converts this character % into %25.

If I try to sync with this %2520, the URL will be converted to %252520, &25252520 etc.

Use a hard space (by copying and pasting) or a + doesn’t work either.

In DEVONthink 3 Pro, synchronizing works with the same URL (with %20 in the URL).

I’m using the latest iOS and DEVONthink To Go.

Does somebody has an idea? Or is it a bug in DEVONthink To Go or in iOS?

Thanks
Henk

Welcome @highlander61

What is the URL you are trying to use?

https://dav.mailbox.org/servlet/webdav.infostore/Userstore/User%20Name/Webdav/
where User and Name my first and last name is

see https://kb.mailbox.org/display/MBOKBEN/WebDav+for+Linux?beecom.language=en

That doesn’t show you must use a %20 in the username. It’s merely showing it doesn’t support non-percent encoded strings (logically). For example, you could use My_Name or a single word, like Admin.

I didn’t have any issue with a login user of Some User (with a space in the sync setup in DEVONthink To Go). It connected, showed the available databases, and imported a database with no issue.

In DEVONthink To Go, select ? > Contact Us to start a Support Ticket.

@BLUEFROG I think we might want to tweak our URL handling here. Would you mind opening an issue with the URL as entered by the user and the desired result? Thank you.

Will do.

(Hopefully) fixed for the next release.
