I updated/renewed my license yesterday, but Devonthink for Mac is still asking me to update. And the “about” screen does not show the new expiration date from the new license.
If I try to activate the license, I get the message, “Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid.”
Did you install DEVONthink 4? The Activate link needs the correct edition to be installed as it tries to open it. Which version of DEVONthink 4 di you have installed? Which edition do you have? Maybe a private message to me, or even better: a support ticket, with your email address or license code could help identify the problem.
I’ve just had the same as @chrillek. On clicking Update I was taken to my account and asked to log in. I did not do that and on reverting to DEVONthink (not re-launching it) the prompt had disappeared. DEVONthink → License… shows my name and licence number. The number does start with DTP3 but I assume that’s not something about which I should be concerned as the DT 4 beta has been running happily without protest and does not, at least, appear to be in trial mode. Indeed, when I do log in to my DEVONthink account it shows DEVONthink Pro licensed with updates up to April 2026.
I’m running macOS 15.4 on an M2 MacBook Pro.
Apologies if any required response is a little slow…I’m on holiday.
I am having the same issue with the red update button showing. When I log in to the website and activate the license, the response is that I activated the license a couple days ago. It is happening on both my Macs. I am running 4b1 and have archived the DT3 install so my computers use v4 of DT. It is a bit annoying to be honest. Otherwise, 4b1 is running well and the transition has been relatively smooth.
