Problems with INDEXED (Word) files:

(1) One can select (and so copy) the text of indexed (Word) documents ONLY in the Search window, but not in any of the normal views.

(2) Footnotes in indexed (Word) files only show up in the Search window, but not in any other view.

These are major bugs, but should be easily fixed since selecting and footnote display DO work correctly, though only in the Search window.

I think you can imagine that in public beta 5 such “major” bugs would have been detected and fixed by now. So something else is going on. Several threads in this forum have discussed this and it has to do with QuickLook. The QuickLook support from Apple for Word doesn’t allow you to select text.
