Processing from Global Inbox

Is there a mechanism that would allow a script to move a PDF from the Global Inbox into a Group based on the file name or its contents?

Can the Global Inbox be the subject of a folder action (i.e. if something is added to it, it triggers a script)?

I found something in the Help that referred to Folder Actions inside DTP, but the Extras folder it referred to wasn’t part of the .dmg file.

Folder actions are only supported by the Finder but you can attach scripts (see Info panel) to groups and these scripts are semi-automatically executed after selecting/opening the group.
