Pro's/Con's of Indexing over Database Use

Interesting, as over the years I’ve found the opposite to be true. It’s the re-organizing of content in the Finder that the user has indexed that causes records to be broken.

Yes that’s what I meant. If you’re using Finder for organizing, then the records will break.

If you want to index and not break records, you must never rename or move files outside of DT, ever.

To elaborate:

1. I index a file
2. I tag it in DT
3. I rename it in Finder
4. The DT record is now broken
