Question about indexed folders

Hello all - I’ve scoured this forum and failed to find what I need.

I create an indexed folder with subfolders. It appears in the global Inbox. Indexing works perfectly when refreshed via Data: Update indexed items.

But since this indexed folder contains docs that are part of an existing project / database, I then want to move it to that database. When I do so, indexing appears to break.

How to move indexed folders from global inbox to individual databases? Or better still, how to create indexed folders within individual databases?

Why aren’t you just indexing into the database the documents belong in?

And @korm is correct. You should read and understand the In & Out > Importing & Indexing section of the built-in Help and manual.

I’m not seeing an issue with moving indexed folder groups within Devonthink
or creating indexed folder groups within individual databases
