When I search my database, the Mellel documents often show up with the searched word highlighted (as I would expect) but not always. Yesterday, I made an outline in Mellel and could not get any of the words to show up highlighted through the DTP search. Am I doing something wrong? This seems to always be the case with OmniOutliner documents and why I’m using that program less. I really depend on those highlighted words showing up.
DEVONthink cannot directly render Mellel documents. Instead, a Quick Look plugin supplied by Mellel’s developer is used to display the document.
Okay. As I’ve been doing some more searches, it seems that none of my Mellel docs display the highlighted text from my search. The right documents come up with the information I’m looking for except there’s no highlights. I’ve read a few threads in the forum that are somewhat related to this. Do I understand, then, that if I want the highlighting to work I still need to save Mellel and OO as PDFs?
