I have noticed that in my database QuickLook compatible files like Pages, Mindnode or Curio files are not searchable in Devonthink. In the file properties under “List” everything is empty.
If I copy them into the Finder, the Finder can find them. Spotlight should therefore work.

AFAIK, there’s no “QuickLook index”. Do you mean Spotlight?

Sorry - I can’t follow what you mean by what search criteria. I just want to search for text in the file. This works in the Finder with this file. But not in Devonthink. So my question is how do I get Devonthink to use the Spotlight index since it obviously hasn’t been indexed?
Post a screen capture of such a Spotlight search, please.
Which version of DEVONthink and macOS do you actually use? E.g. Pages documents are definitely indexed over here.

The current version of macOS Sonoma is 14.3.1. You should stay current with the operating system and our point releases, especially with how buggy Sonoma still is.
By the way, I’m on my Ventura machine. I have a Mindnode document I just created and Spotlight is not finding it.
Everything updated. Works in Finder and still not in Devonthink with the exact same files.
I have now also tested it on another machine. Same result. Searchable in Finder but not in Devonthink.
What does this tell us? At least on my devices the Spotlight Index works but not in Devonthink.
Does DEVONthink 3 have full disk access?
Yes - Full Disk Access in Privacy Settings is activated
Is Mindnode installed in the folder /Applications and where are the Mindnode files located - in the database or in indexed folders?
Yes - Mindnode App is installed in the Applications Folder.
Files are in the Database which has “create spotlight index” activated in the settings.
Curio files aren’t indexed also. But Pages and Numbers files are searchable in Devonthink as expected.
One or two example files would be useful.
