The script is working over here, and debugging shows no errors ( DEVONthink 2.8.6 on 10.10.5). When you say “it” fails please explain what version “it” is. The most recent one that Frederiko posted is here:

Put up Example page

I would like to make the suggestion of putting up an example page with various examples one can download.  This would show new and curious users, who may think DEVONthink is difficult and may therefore not give it a try, what can be done with your program.  Having access to various examples might even give current users who do use DEVONthink ideas that they might not have thought of.
