When one wants to insert a link to a document in a text passage, the right-click “Link to” seems to be made for this. But as this menu deosn’t offer a “recent documents” item, i have to scroll “for hours.”
Why not “recent documents” or a "search-"field in this “link to” menu?
You actually don’t have to “scroll for hours” if you use the Insert Link popover, available via Edit > Insert > Item Link, the Insert > Item Link command of the contextual menu, or Control-Command-E.

this is way better, yes. but why the access is so complicated and not available via “link to” in the rightclick menu please?
