Reminders and Due Date

Hi, i’m a bit confused about terminology:“due date” is not the same of “alarm date/remind date”

“alarm date/remind date”

Where are you seeing this?

i mean that “due date” may be shoud have been named correctly “alarm/remind date”?

Ahh… Thanks for the suggestion.

seems that “after saving” action refer only to new records?
what about to track a modification (“on set reminder”), now i’m using a “Before Syncrhonization” event there is a better way?

No. It works on existing records as well.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to. Do you mean you are modifying the file by adding a reminder?

yes, i want to launch a smart rule adding a reminder, seems that Before Synchronisation do the work, “After Saving” no.

“After saving” is only triggered by modifying & saving the contents of a document.

is this supposed to change in a future release?

There are no such plans yet.

there is some workaround to touch “modified date” after custom metadata modification?

No, the modification date is only updated after changing the contents.

and so there is no event that i can catch after a metadata modification…

Currently, that is correct.

Great idea still. I just spent twenty minutes trying to figure out how to set a due date, with no help by searching manual or website. I see – it’s a reminder date here, a due date there!
