If you delete a page in a pdf, is there a way to renumber the pages sequentially?
When pages are deleted from a PDF (Edit > Delete Selected Page) the page numbering displayed in the PDF sidebar does not update itself until you click away from that pdf and then back to it. AFAIK, there is no other way to refresh the page numbering. Perhaps a rationale for this behavior is to preserve the original page numbers displayed in case you wish to delete other pages, insert new pages, reorder pages, etc., though a “refresh” command or keystroke would be useful.
In the first image, the 2nd page has been deleted. The page numbers displayed show a gap where page 2 was.
In the second image, I clicked away from the PDF to another document and then back. The same pages are displayed as in image 1, but the numbering no longer has a gap.
