repeated messages: "encryption key not available"

I’ve started to get a message on my iPhone that repeats over and over: “encryption key not available.” What’s this mean? How do I fix it?

My app and Mac Devonthink Pro Office are both current.

It means that the encryption key for a sync store was removed behind DEVONthink To Go’s back, presumably by iCloud Keychain Sync. Visit Settings > Locations: Edit locations > Edit > (your sync store) and re-add your encryption key. We have changed this behavior in version 2.1 so it should no longer happen.
