I’m using replicants more than in the past. I have noticed for first time that for an item, I move it out of the Inbox into a final “group”, then I can replicate it to another group in same database. But when I attempt to replicate to another group (in same database), the “Replicate” command missing from the pulldown on the “…” button. When I “reveal”, I can see that the document is in the two groups as described above.
Is replicant setting in DEVONthink ToGo really limited to two?
(I did some searches and couldn’t spot this discussed previously or in the DEVONthink ToGo Manual … although I could have missed it).
As long as the location is in the database, you should be able to replicate multiple times…
Is this a shallowly synced database?
Yea, I expected “should” also. Files set to “always” download and sync overall set to “all files”. Plenty of space on iOS devices (same result on both iPhone and iPad).
You show 5 files in enclosing groups. How did you get them there? In DEVONthink ToGo? It’s the “getting them” replicated in DEVONthink ToGo that I’m seeing not working as expected.
When in macOS DEVONthink I replicate a new file to four groups, do a sync, the “reveal” shows four group on DEVONthink ToGo, but no ability I can see to replicate to a fifth group as there is no “replicate” command on the “…” button for that file.
DEVONthink ToGo 3.8.9
DEVONthink 3.9.8
Long-press > Replicate on a document multiple times.
Ah. The long press trick. On the Document name. I should have known.
I was viewing the document and from there could do at most 2 replicants from the “…” button.
thanks.
You’re welcome
So after you used the Organize menu to replicate twice, the command disappeared?
Did a more structured test today, after restart of two iOS devices … cannot replicate. I certainly believed/thought yesterday was displaying an unexpected result. I will pay closer attention and avoid bothering you!
