Welcome @Thalies
Do I have to re-install the app ?
This should not be your first idea. See…
Does the behavior persist after rebooting the Mac?
Hello Bluefrog,
Thank you very much for your quick answer ! so yes, unfortunately it does persist after rebootiing.
I went further in the investigations : so everything is fine unless I do have a markdown document that I’m working on in the main window. When the document currently open in pdf everything is fine.
But If I don’t touch anything while working with markdown it’s ok.
Should I do something to give you more information ?
Thank you again.
You’re welcome!
Can you post a screencast if the behavior??
Ha everything is working again ! If it comes back I will make a screencast and post it here.
Thanks you again.
Glad to hear it and indeed, let us know if it recurs
I have the exact same problem but with Intel MacBook Air, Sonoma 14.5. Happens all the time but not every time…
A screenshot of the window would be useful. And does the app really crash or just become unresponsive?
I will try to take a screenshot but what happens is that the app becomes absolutely unresponsive (the color wheel turns), requiring “forced quit”. If I continue working on some other thing, the laptop starts heating up, the fan goes into overdrive, and Activity Monitor shows the app taking 99%+ CPU time.
Could you please launch Apple’s Activity Monitor application (see Applications > Utilities), select the frozen app in the list of processes, choose the menu item View > Sample Process and send the result to cgrunenberg - at - devon-technologies.com? Thanks in advance!
