Restrict "classify" to a scope?

Is there any way to restrict the “classify” action within the current or given scope? For example, if you want to classify all items in the group “connections inbox” to the group “connections”?

I’d like to do this manually or in a smart rule.

No, there is currently no way to restrict the scope of See Also or Classify. This may be a feature in a future version.
