How do i get rid of the numbers when i clip to DT in both Safari and Firefox?

What do you clip, which URLs and in which format (bookmark, PDF, MD etc)? The leading numbers are by no means what DT does usually when clipping.

When you want to clip a web page like

By going to the “print recipe” on the page and printing it to DT as a pdf you get that result.

You get the same by “command P” on the keyboard.

Its in PDF+text

The printing is handled by macOS, not DT. I suggest you check the PDFs metadata. Probably the title is in there.

Does one of your smart rules use the Bates Number placeholder to change names?

i have not used Bates Number placeholder. But, i learnt a lot about placeholder. Found the issue was with the AirPrint app Printopia and in MacOS Printers and Scanners System Preferences. Nothing to do with DT. Problem resolved.
