The PDF Service “Save PDF to DEVONthink 3” is about 350mb. As far as I can tell, all this does is allow a save to DT option on a print dialogue. Am I missing something or is that it? Not really worth 350mb just for that so I am wondering can: I just remove it without breaking anything?
The PDF service is actually just an alias (e.g. requires 119 bytes over here). Does the folder ~/Library/PDF Services contain a full copy of the DEVONthink 3.app?
Ah balls… yeah it does. I’m guessing the Mackup script is doing something stupid and following symlinks in the PDF Services folder. I’ll investigate. Thanks for the tip as this seemed really strange.
