I have used DA to capture census images and put them into DT Pro as PDF + text.
Because my database is getting quite large (I’m also saving scanned images into DTP as well), I tried using the Save As command instead. This way I could control where the file ended up.
My problem now is when I indexed the file in DTP what is visible is only the text part since the file is an HTML not a PDF.
How do I create an external file that is a PDF + text from DA? Would I have to use a script?
If you are viewing a web page in DA and wish to save it as PDF in DT Pro, one way is to select Data > Add to DEVONthink > PDF (one long page, or paginated). Be advised that hyperlinks won’t be preserved.
