I already have ScanSnap, but have found myself wanting a scanner for book pages, photos, and notebooks - a flatbed scanner, that is. Any suggestions for good ones to use with DTPO? In particular, any scanners that are good for books, i.e., have the scanning element very close to the edge?
I have an older CanoScan LIDE 500F USB 2.0 flatbed with a double-hinged lid that allows one to insert fairly thick bound material for scanning. Look for flatbed scanners with a similar lid.
I’ve seen scanners advertised as especially suitable for scanning books. But some are not OS X compatible, so watch out for that. The driver should be Leopard-compatible.
Any recommendations from the forum?
