Scanning and importing multi-page documents

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but I couldn’t find any info on the subject.

How can I scan or import multi-page documents into one file? A trivial example would be scanning a cell phone bill. I don’t want 8 or 10 or 12 separate files, one for each page of the bill, I want to create one 12-page document of the bill.

Personnaly with my Canon LIDE25:

  • Scan each page to a separate PDF folder
  • Then PDFLab to merge the different PDFs in one
  • then into DTP

If you are using DTPO with a scanner using Image Capture, there’s an Add Page mode to keep scanning a multipage document.

You can also use one of the Automator workflow examples “Combine PDF Records” that can be found in the Extras folder on the distribution image.
