Scanning and printing issue

Hi
Please see the attached jpeg. I scanned this image via my ScanSnap S1300 directly into DTO. When I go to print it, I get this reverse printing problem. The original looks like any other document; black text on white paper. But when I scan it into DTO and print it directly from DTO or an external program like PDFpro, it does this. It also makes no difference if it is scanned to a PDF or jpeg.

Question:

  1. is it a DTO problem
  2. scanner problem?
  3. printer problem?

Anyone else see this?

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Very strange.

Question: When you view the PDF+Text in DEVONthink, does it look like the original paper copy, black text on white background?

My older ScanSnap’s ScanSnap Manager doesn’t have an option to reverse the image during scanning, nor does DT Pro Office reverse the image during OCR.

Your ScanSnap Manager must be set for Color, as JPG output isn’t available for black & white scans.

Since My last post, I have tested this on several other printers including other HP and it works find. It has to be this specific printer I am using. But, yes it looks fine in PDF pen, Adobe reader and in DTO… I don’t think it is a scanner issue either. I am going to call HP and see if they can help me.
Thanks
