Does anyone use third-party scanning software with DTP? I’m particularly interested in opinions on Exactscan vs Vuescan vs Prizmo. I’m trialling Exactscan at the moment and I like it, but it’s the most expensive of the 3 options and am wondering whether the functionality of Vuescan and Prizmo is about the same. I’m planning on buying a Scansnap scanner in the next couple of months.

ScanSnap scanners are bundled with OCR software.

The bundled ScanSnap Manager is all you need. It does everything, as well as OCR (using ABBY Finereader), as Korn says.

Worth spending $5 on the The Unofficial ScanSnap Setup Guide as the official one is heavy going.
