Hi,
This is not a DT question but I am hoping someone will know the answer.
I have recently moved for DT3 to DT4 and now my scanner saves a separate copy of every scan.
I remember having this problem when I first started using DT3 all those years ago but cannot remember which setting stops the duplicate from being saved.
Does anyone know what setting I should be changing?
- DT 4.1.1
- ScanSnap Home 3.4.0
Thanks!
What are your OCR settings?
I’m having this problem too. Hope someone gives you a fix.
Have you read the In & Out > Going Paperless (Other Options) section of the built-in Help and manual and ensured your scanning profile in ScanSnap Home is set up per the instructions there?
I had and I have just checked again. I cannot to any reference to deleting the original ScanSnap scanned file.
edit: to be clear, the profile is set up according to the manual.
Where do you have the Save to pointing in the scanning profile?
same place as for DT 3 when it worked:
iCloud ➜ Downloads ➜ ScanSnap
…although, interestingly, the last scan I tried just now was deleted after being imported into DT 4.
Not sure what has changed.
Could Apple’s iCloud be interfering? Perhaps redirect the scan outputs to the local drive on the same computer where the scanner is connected? With my Brother scanner, I direct to ~/Documents/ScannerOutput
Maybe, I’ll change it and see what happens - thanks for that idea.
edit: my ~/Documents is also in iCloud (Docs and Desktop).
