Scansnap direct to Devonthink to Go?

I saw the instructions for scanning to the macOS version.
Is it possible to scan directly to DevonThink to Go from a Fujitsu Scansnap (ix500).

Welcome @wc9

No this is not possible. Also, Fujitsu doesn’t like allowing other apps to control their scanners.

Actually, there was an official framework for connecting to wireless Fujitsu scanners from iOS but was abandoned a while ago. Therefore we also stopped our attempts in adding dedicated ScanSnap support to DEVONthink To Go. Sorry.

There is a iOS ScanSnap Cloud application which you can use to scan from your ix500 and share the documents as PDFs or images to DEVONthink to Go.

Is my understanding correct that if you wanted to use the ScanSnap with Devon Think to Go, you would a) do so by connecting the ScanSnap to the Mac, scanning into the DevonThink 3 database, and accessing it through Devon Think to Go via iCloud sync?
b) Or alternatively, could you scan to a local network folder (e.g. on NAS), and DevonThink to Go would import the scans from there?
c) Or would there be other possibilities?

Option 1: you install Scansnap mobile app and then use the share-sheet to send it to DevonThink to Go.
Option 2: you scan via mac to DEVONthink 3, then sync via whatever means you have setup (such as DEVONthink local wifi/bonjour, iCloud, etc.) to DEVONthink to Go.
