I could not find a search prefix for the modification date to use in the search field. Then I guess it doesn’t exist? Something like this
Is there any other way besides clicking to access such smart folders? And can I exclude folders from the search?

you could use creation date (Erstellungsdatum) for this. Further you can select the folder where the search should be applied (Datenbank searchs within all databases)

You can actually build a query by selecting the terms from the dialog below the search field. The search field will then reflect what you selected.

Not in the English forum. Nor right now, since I’m traveling and don’t have a Mac with me.
There might be a button to the right of the search field that you can use to open the dialog. Or have a look in the documentation, it might be described there.
