When I edit a rtf file in DevonThink Pro Office 2.0.3 in the 3-pane-view, I can search for text in the rtf file with Cmd-F.
However, if I open the rtf file in a new window, the search submenu item is grayed out and Cmd-F does not work.
I assume this is a bug?!
(With text files, the search works in both cases).
I’ve just checked this but it’s working fine over here. Which version of Mac OS X do you use? Could you post a screenshot of the Edit menu, the rich text window and the Info panel? Thanks!
Christian it works fine for me also on Leopard 10.5.8.

I tried the search command in other RTF files (in separate windows) successfully, so it was only this one file I was currently working on, which did not let me search…
after closing and re-opening this problematic RTF document in DevonThink, I now can access the search dialog…
