Search for (whether) an eMail (has a specific) Attachment

Hi there,

I need to filter imported eMails that have an Excel files attached.

How am I going to do this?

I use DT’s import script that creates a group holding the the email and spreadsheet as separate files
A search or smart group can be used to identify excel files

You can search for emails with attachments but not specific file types of attachments.

I get your point @DTLow … but having Devonthink finding specific types of attachments would render this import measure almost entirely redundant

I can’t comment on “soon” and it’s the first request of its kind I can recall.
Development would have to consider it.

interesting and surprising at the same time … as I thought that Devonthink is all about automating search procedures like this
