Searching across multiple databases

I searched through the forum and couldn’t find a thread on this…so I apologize if it’s a repeat.

I currently have 1 huge database. This allows me 1 search interface and the ability to access all my information without switching databases. When V. 2.0 releases w/ multiple DB support (multiple open at the same time)…what will the search functionality be?

  1. Will I be able to search only the currently active DB (if multiple DB’s open)?
  2. Search all open DB’s?
  3. Search all DB’s whether open or not?

I would personally like to see options in the search panel to allow me to choose 1 of these options. I would like to see all of these options implemented if possible.

In addition, once Leopard and DTPO v2.0 are released, will all files that are Spotlight indexed be able to searched in DTPO if they are imported (say a Word or Mellel file)?
