Hi,
trying to search for content of custom metadata (e.g. metadata:… scope:…) don’t return any result.
same search with smart group works flawless
Thanks

The search is actually based on smart groups, therefore this shouldn’t make a difference. A screenshot of the search and the smart group would be appreciated.
What kind of custom metadata is status? An identical search is mdstatus:waiting scope:IT
ok, of course direct search for mdstatus:… works
so the point here is that custom metadata not belongs to metadata?
Thanks
It does but only in case of strings, texts and URLs as your search is a string-based query.
ok, so to be clear, at least at a search level, set/integer/etc… custom metadata does not belongs to metadata but text/urls cm yes.
Thanks
That’s correct as your metadata: query is a text query supporting operators & wildcards.
