Set specific (absolute) due date?

Hello. Is there any way to set a specific (and absolute) due date (such as: 30.01.2024) for an item (file or whatever else)?

I have a custom metadata field called TaskDueDate
It’s defined as single line text and I can set it to “a specific (and absolute) date”
For example, I use 2024-01-30 (yyyy-mm-dd)

There is a date definition for custom metadata fields
but it gets a bit weird in use.
Empty is not allowed - it sets a default value

Yes, you can set a reminder to a specific date in the Annotations & Reminders inspector…
