Should Sheets preserve column width?

First congratulations to the DT team for DT4! I probably will not have time to install the beta, but I’ve been following forum threads and reading through the updated user guide.

I’m only about six months into using DT, so I’m still digging in to the features and functionality of DT3.

I was trying to use a sheet, the sheet has boolean columns which appear as checkboxes. I double clicked the column headings to resize to the smallest size that fits.

When I come back to the sheet the columns all go back to their original width. It is very tedious to have to resize the columns again and again every time I view the document.

I realize sheets are not a replacement for a spreadsheet, but I would expect column widths to be preserved.

Is this a bug or is it expected behavior? Is this maybe something that is addressed in DT4?

Thank you.

I wouldn’t call it a bug or expected behavior. I would say it’s just not something in place at this time.

Would it be helpful at all to file a feedback email about it? I think it would improve the usability of sheets a great deal.

Also, would definitely pay for the $99 Pro extension if this were one of the added improvements.

No need for anything formal. I will pass it along but development combs through the forums as well.
And noted

Agreed. One of the next betas/releases will improve this.
